Evaluate Solution
During the building of our project we decided to change the overall concept and look of our game. Some modifications that we did was the hole in the back that we use to take the ball out of the game, it was sketched out to be a tube that would run down the back of the game and carry the ball out of a hole on the side of the game. Due to the time and complexity we decide to go with a faster but equally efficient design where we use our hands to get the ball out. Another modification was the lack of the ramp on the front. In the sketch we decided to make a ramp that allows people to bounce the ball off of into one of the 3 holes. While we were building the project it became clear that the ramp was not needed and we could use a floor or a table instead of a ramp. The last modification we did was adding items to the front to give the cardboard game a face to make it more fun and exciting.
Present Solution
We created a cardboard arcade game called hole ball to solve the problem of kids spending too much time inside on their electronics. So we started to come up with ideas to create a solution to the problem. Some ideas we came up with was a ball maze, ping pong table, ski ball, pool table basket ball, hockey table, pin ball, and hole ball. We then used a decision matrix to decide that hole ball was the best choice out of all of the other choices since it had a score of 22 when the second closest score was 15. We then created a sketch of the game hole ball to use when we start to build the final product. After we finished the sketching we started to build the prototype of the cardboard game and it turned out to work like we wanted it too. After building the prototype we decided it didn't need much modification to it and decided to make it look nicer and to create a more presentable final product. Teamwork during this project was very well balanced because we would do different tasks at the same time to build fast and more efficiently then if one person was doing all the work. If I could do something differently next time I create a build I would bring some more supplies because it was very hard to get tape and scissors when we need them and because of that we had to use up time we needed to build the project waiting to get the materials we needed. If we didn't have to wait so long for the supplies we could have done more to the game, like add more details to the outside of the game. But overall I think we did a very good job at creating the board game and sharing the equal amount of responsibility on building the game and creating the website.
